SSC Top 7 News in 2006

1. Announced the World First and Sole Products Available in Volume Production

     1) 'Acriche', Semiconductor Lighting Source

- Running Directly in AC-based Applications Without a Converter
Acriche has the ability to interface directly to 110 volt or 220 volt AC outlets using a simple circuit,
eliminating the need for a DC converter. It is better than incandescent and halogen lamps in terms of
power efficiency, and outpaces fluorescent lamps in terms of lifetime, power usage and convenience.

     2) Deep UV LED by partnering with SETI

SOC, a subsidiary of SSC has unveiled its product, DUV LED (Deep Ultra-Violet Light Emitting Diode),and
announced its availability in volume production. It has a strategic partnership with Sensor Electronic
Technology(SETI), a world leader in the development of DUV LEDs.

2.  Over 1000 Intellectual Properties Secured

SSC had secured over 1000 Intellectual Properties by 2006, including 927 patents and 83 licenses.

3.  Nichia’s Korean Design Patents Declared Invalid

The patent invalidation judgment in Nov in 2006 will put a stop to Nichia’s inappropriate actions by which it
has been threatening other LED companies around the world and filing lawsuits about patent infringement to
interrupt competitors from entering into the market and to retain its monopoly position. It will bring on many
changes in customers' product selection and overall business trend.

4.  Exceeded 0.3 billion LED Packages Per Month
SSC built infrastructure for manufacturing over 0.3 billion LED packages per month to meet the global
      cutomers' needs.

5.  P4, the Super Brightness of 240 lumens

The P4 emits 240 lm at 1 A of light and features the industry’s highest luminous efficacy (100 lm/W
@ 350mA) with only a single die. P4 is a brighter and more cost-effective light source compared to
conventional 70 lm/W fluorescent and 15 lm/W incandescent light sources.

6.  Named to Forbes' and BusinessWeek's Lists

At the end of 2006,  SSC was named to the world prestigious business magazines, Forbes’ and
BusinessWeek's lists as one of the most promising Asian companies.

7.  Cross License with Cree
SSC has signed an agreement with Cree for a long-term LED chip supply and white LED cross license
on May 9, 2006. SSC and Cree reinforced their patent rights and agreed to defend the rights against
      competitiors.
